POVIDONE IODINE 7.5% :
COMPOSITION:
Contains Povidone iodine 7.5 gm (U.S.P)
Excepientsupto 100 ml.
Properties:
Povidone Iodine microbicidalbroad spectrum
activity covers gram positive and gram negative
bacteria including strains resistant to
antibiotics, it also covers fungi, protozoa,
spores and viruses.
This activity of Povidone Iodine is not affected
by blood, pus, soap or bile.
Our unique formula is characterized by the
presence of a surfactant, which improves the
detergency and cleansing properties and helps to
remove all fatty dirties and any other
undesirable deposits.
Povidone Iodine is non staining and non irritant
to skin or mucous membranes, and can be easily
washed off from skin and natural fabrics.
Indications:
General Antiseptic
Directions for use:
Pre-operative use by doctors and nurses.
1- Wet your hands with water.
2- Pour 10 ml of surgical scrub on the palm of
your hand
3- Rub the scrub thoroughly to cover all the
surface area and make sure to access all
stagnant points (under finger nails etc..)
4- Wait for 2-3 minutes then add water and rub
again to generate Foam.
5- Rinse hands with sufficient quantity of water
under running water.
Pre-operative use for patients :
1- After shaving skin apply 1 ml of the scrub
for each 20- 30 square inches.
2- Rub it well to cover all area.
3- Wait for 5 minutes and rinse the skin again
4- Rub for one minute.
Precautions:
For external use only
Incase of any swelling or irritation,
discontinue use and consult your doctor
Use under medical consultancy during pregnancy
and lactation.
Use in newborns and small infants should be kept
to the minimum and under medical consultancy.
Storage Conditions:
Store in a cool dry place below 30˚ C.
Keep out of reach of children.
